Re: Severe acid reflux problems

Just checking to see if anyone out there has had an experience with reflux such as mine? For the past two years I have had symptoms which occured off and on - one to two weeks at a time. For the past few months, I have been so ill that I've been off work.

****do you knwo what triggered off your first reflux episode? mine was triggered off by taking two dosages of DOXYCYCLINE (antibiotic)... i suddenly got SO SICK i coudlnt' even eat anything for 2 weeks :(

Symptoms include a feeling of sourness or numbness in mouth,

****definite numbness in the mouth, especially when lying down.

dryness of lips and mouth,

****i was alternating between too much mucus and saliva coming out of the mouth then too little... total dryness.... so much so that i couldn't chew on anything dry.... toast turned to sand in my mouth :((((

burning in mouth, discomfort or burning in chest,

****i too, was so sick i couldn't even sleep sometimes :( total discomfort in the chest

nausea and feeling of rawness in throat and chest. Every morning, the symptoms are really bad with extreme sourness in mouth and nausea which may or may not dissipate during the day.

****yes ... at its worst i would wake up totally shaking and a total mess :(((

I have been diagnosed with esophagitis and a weak LES valve. Medications do little to reduce the symptoms.

**** did nada for me also.... i also had so much acid during this period that came up my throat that i ahd to deal with 8 new cavities in the mouth :(((

At times it also feels like I have a lump or knot in my stomach or upper abdomen, which may or may not be related to stress.

**** i think stress always plays a part.. the thing is, when u are sick, you are inevitably goign to get totally stressed, which makes the sickness worse etc. :( it's a vicious vicious cycle :((

Just thought I'd see if anyone else has had so severe a problem or a similar experence.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

****very wc... i just wanted to add, that the doctors all said acid reflux after Antibiotics is kind of "normal" and would go away by itself in a few days.. well mine lasted over a month, and then the symptoms turned to candida.... (they say candida causes acid reflux) with continued extreme fatigue... thanks to curezone.com i also learned that liver problems and liver toxicity can lead to candida, cos malfunctioning liver = indigestion/proliferation of bad bacteria = candida = acid reflux.... so i began doing Liver Flushes and that helped with the digestion, but then i also learned that Amalgam fillings were continually overwhelming my liver with mercury vapors etc. and i would be fighting a losing battle if i kept those fillings in the mouth, and got them replaced..... so u might want to check to see if you have any of those 'silver" fillings in your mouth, cos those babies are like 40% mercury :((((
now i'm trying to eat healthy (no sugar, no alcohol, etc.) and doing organ cleansings (colon, kidney, liver) -- and detoxing slowly....
anyway, i hope this helps....
