Re: Need Ideas on Lung Cancer Treatment

I remember reading CNN news in April 2005 when Peter Jennings informed his viewers that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer and was starting "chemo" treatment the following week. As I clicked off the article I remember saying "Good-bye Peter." He died four months later.

Then in August 2005 I read where Dana Reeve announced she had been diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors said they had caught it early and her chances for survival were excellent! They had a plan to attack (chemo/radiation.) I remember thinking "Thank God they caught it early." When I read in March 2006 she had died, I remember putting my head down on my desk and crying...she did not have to die.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer a little over 2 years ago. It is not lung cancer, but it is the most dangerous in that it is fast growing. Even though I believed in and praticed alternative medicine, he did not. Since I knew he had to die his own death, I left his treatment options totally up to him. He chose alternative medicine. He told me he always thought I was weird in my alternative beliefs, but now he realizes the knowledge I had saved his life.

We have met hundreds of peoople with all kinds of cancers. Most of them had chemo/radiation/surgery that did not work and were sent home to die. They could no longer use the doctor as their life line. They had been cut loose to dangle out their all by themselves. (Which is where they were anyway, they just did not know it.) They were frantically searching alternative therapy trying to save their lives after their immune systems had been destroyed. Many of them realized too late that you cannot poison the body into health.

I read an article on Jon Barron's website that stated any doctor who recommended chemo/radiation for lung cancer was unethical. They know the survival rate is less than 1% with this therapy.

I could tell you many stories of the people we met with lung cancer, but the bottom line here is that it is up to you. What are you willing to do. My brother-in-law died from lung cancer. He looked like a fried chicken when he passed away at the age of 52. But his wife, my sister, says that if she develops cancer she will have to do what her doctors tell her and what her insurance will pay for.....!!!
