Using bar soap to brush teeth - clean!

mercury881: The only bar soap I had on hand was olive oil soap so I'm guessing this soap is a little less "yucky" than regular bar soap.

optimum: I use Castille Soap w/ Peppermint Oil.

I started out with liquid castile soap and now use bar soap made with olive oil. Prior to my initial brushing with soap, I anticipated the flavor to be yuk -- not so! Perhaps it is because so little soap is needed, it is a mild flavor that rinses out easily. You are right, optimum, about saving money. There is hardly a track across the bar where my toothbrush has been dragged - (lol) sounds like a cartoon!

mercury881, you mentioned a sensation. My mouth and teeth felt really clean after using the soap, and that was not always how toothpaste "cleansings" felt. Sometimes I would brush a second or third time and still feel a "film" which I now know was the glycerine.
