Re: Oils for OP?
Thanks, most helpful! I leaped before looking into oil pulling without reading the possible dangers or side effects.
I am concerned about yellowing of the teeth. Should I be?
What do you think about Castor oil? Naughty or nice list? I imagine if I could find it cold pressed it would be a possibility.
I look forward to trying Palm oil and Macadamia Nut oil for certain!

Hello, Nanette.
You're welcome.
Other than the quality of oils you use, the only other caveat would be if you have a sensitivity to an oil. For example, if you know you have an allergy to a particular food, such as a sensitivity to pecans, you would avoid pecan oil.
You know about the many benefits of castor oil which has a really heavy texture. Cold-pressed, extra virgin castor oil is available, and I have tried OP with it. The oil did not go to liquid-thin after more than 20 minutes. As I OP'd, I kept in mind Dr. Karach's instructions, "You really chew, move your chin and (like in the Mayr diet) a lot of saliva is drawn; that means mouth – digestion."
Please don't let my experience with castor oil inhibit you; it may respond differently for you. I have thought of adding a little Willard's Water to some castor oil and see if that would make a difference in texture, but there are so many other oils, wonderful flavors and light textures, to try.
As far as a fear of OP yellowing your teeth, stick with the lighter colored oils and alternate oils. You will enjoy reading Molly Bloom's post about her experience.
