Parasite Dreams and Science Questions

Last night I dreamed two parasites came out of my throat, like tusks protruding from an elephant. I tried to pull one of them out, but it dug it's claws into my esophagus and crawled back in. I squeezed the other one and it came out further, I tried to wrap it around a pencil before pulling it, but it, too, dug it's claws in and began to crawl back into me. I knew it would rip my throat and make me bleed if I persisted.

Tonight I feel like there is a piece of popcorn, or something stuck in my throat. Sometimes when I get this feeling, I cough up a nasty little hocker that looks like a piece of cottage cheese and it stinks to high heavens. What is that stuff? Have any of you scientists ever looked at it under a microscope?
