Did your doctor tell you your symptoms were not caused by Mirena?
I wrote my doctor a letter, stating that I felt he was wrong at giving me his personal feelings on what were causing my symptoms. (fatigue, mood swings, loss of libido, weight gain, depression, etc.). Basically, he told me the same thing he did the last 2 years,- that I had "mommy Syndrome" and I needed to seek counciling. He had no explanation for the loss of libido. Now, yes, I also had some of these same symptoms before the insertion of Mirena, but I was also on a comination oral contraseptive. He never bothered to look into why I was having those symptoms then, as well as why I was having them with Mirena. (except he gave me the same "mommy syndrome" diagnosis). Now, my doctor is, (was,- Im dumpimg him) a male. I would hate to say that he's only telling me what he is because of his gender,- but how can I not? But, anyway. Regardless, he has never bothered to find out why I have been feeling the way I do, other than to tell me to get out more, eat better and exercise. I am not saying I completly disagree,- but when you have no motivation, it's hard to do those things all the time. Besides, he never asked if I have been doing any of those, he just assumed I'm not. Has your doctor disagreed with you and told you your symptoms were not the Mirena?
