If you're doing it everyday and that makes you feel uncomfortable, you are probably addicted to it. (Not in the regular sense of the word, but in an emotional way). The best way to stop is to find something enjoyable to do during the time which you usually spank the monkey. For example, when you want to do it, go out with a friend instead (lol, I realize this isn't always possible). Or exercise, watch a movie, read a book. Get into the habit of doing something else. Hopefully after a while you'll notice you don't have the urge to do it so often.
