Re: My Miracle Today
I think a lot of illness and affliction (including pain) is caused by nerves and attitude. I am not ruling out actual physical dysfunction, I am saying that our attitude of being emotional about our afflictions causes us to feel pain (instead of SENSATION). Do you deserve pain?
That is what I noticed about myself. I noticed that, for the most part, I don't really "feel" pain, I feel the "sensation" of not being well and it is easier for me to accept my afflictions because of that. I don't suffer (because I know in my conscience that I don't deserve to suffer, I simply endure inconvenience). Why do you think you were able to get the TV out of the car and set up?, because you have a better attitude about God being close, you feel better about your relationship with Him (after being encouraged to trust Him).
Very often we beat ourselves up because other people say that our relationship with Him is not as good as theirs (they say this for their ego...and maybe because they need to redeem their conscience too), I guess their relationship leaves them a little needy. The Lord knows where your at in your life ("...that God may be everything to everyone" 1 Corinthian 15:28). For whatever reason, you're experiencing adversity (so did Job, for whatever reason). The story of Job was not about simple faith, it was a love story (the greatest of these, God is love). Your in good company with Job. Your heart is aching because you have been encouraged to think that your PERSONAL devotion to The Lord is not all that it should be. Have faith that it is because your relationship is not based on mere faith, it is based on LOVE.
