Re: Root Canal before Crown?

well, for one, every time you work on a tooth, you can cause more chances of abcess and infection, so you have legitimate concerns. if they are pushing for a root canal, probably not going to make much of a difference except for your time and money. it does not matter what type of crown they end up doing because root canals are toxic and will cause you pain and money in the long run. i cannot recommend to you a root canal under any circumstances. the tooth needs pulled if it is abcessed, as there is nothing else that can be done. then, you can get a temporary partial to wear 2 to 3 months before you decide if you want a permanent partial or bridge.
