Re: Root Canal before Crown?
That seems kind of strange. When I had my
root canal done, the denist who did the
root canal completely drilled out the temporary filling, cleaned out the tooth did the root canal, and then put in a new filling over the root canal. The new filling was the foundation for a new crown. But I ended up getting the tooth pulled, because the infection persisted - I never got a crown.
Anyway, I guess my point is, why would the denist want to do that? It may make sense if you need some time before you get the
root canal done. But if you are going to get the root canal done in a few days why does it matter? They are going to completely clean out the inside of the tooth anyway.
Of course, I'm not a denist and I don't know much other than
root canals stink and so do mercury fillings! ( I got both removed from my mouth ).
Cheers,
Mike
