Help please with weird symptoms

Hi. Molly suggested I write to you for help. Thank you in advance for reading this (I hope).
I started oil pulling with organic unadulterated sunflower oil, and taking 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil three times a day with meals. About two and half weeks after starting I started getting thin saliva in my throat when I woke in the morning at 4.30 (I have trouble sleeping every night, and have done for ages, and it just gets worse. I stayed awake all night once just lying in the dark). I had to keep swallowing all the time. Also it felt like bubbles in my throat from stomach coming up all the way, and stopping right at the top of my throat making me keep swallowing. After one week of that I started getting palpitations with it. Every time the bubbles moved to the top of my throat my heart would go boom boom boom, instead of boom boom. This started off slowly and gradually increased each night and day. I would also get it sitting down watching the tv at night. Finally on Tuesday night I had a long higgledy piggledy palpitation, probably lasting ten to fifteen seconds. That sent me to the doctor the next day in a panic. After being reasurred that my heart and blood pressure were ok, he said if the palpitation kept on he would like to test for thyroid, blood sugar and something I have forgotton. I forgot to tell you that the saliva changed to thick mucus when the palpitations got worse (I think). Cut a long story short (!) last night I woke up after about an hours sleep at 3, and until 7 I had palpitations all night with only about half a minute gap in between. I lay on my back and didn't get them, but I can't sleep on my back. Got about one hours sleep at about 8. Spoke to emergency doctor this am as I was frightened. He reasureed me and suggested I get the tests done asap. So I am not looking forward to tonight. By the way I started oil pulling yesterday because I thought maybe it had started off the mucus, and I shouldn't have stopped. No mucus in throat last night, but the saliva was there but not as bad as before. I am sorry this is so long, but it's not as long as it should be, but I don't think I have left too much out.I would be very grateful for any help you could give me. Tweet
