Lecithin, digging for sources !!!

[A repeat of a post to Liver Flush Support Forum ...in hopes that someone knows.]

For example; Wikipedia and other sites say...

"Nervous and circulatory lecithin is produced by the liver if the diet is adequate."

Another site suggested that the liver uses "phosphorous and lipids" to produce this vital substance in the body.

Some suggest egg yolks, even mentioning uncooked, and, of course, soy...while one site I read says that commercial lecithin was first formed by drying the sludge from soy processing, in the early 1900's. Then, they say, the race was on to find uses for commercial 'lecithin' and derivitives.

All the sites I read seemed to hint, or say outright, that the content of 'lecithin' varies according to who wants to know, and for what purpose. The examples they give do NOT discuss the body lecithin produced by a healthy liver.

A number of healthcare writers tout the value of commercial lecithin.

One site goes as far as to say that male p 0 r n stars may consume eggs in order to be able to produce copious amounts of ejaculate, on demand.

I'll bet that I could even find websites claiming that egg yolk 'lecithin' is sub-standard because of the components of chickens' feed.

Come on, fellows and girls...pull the other one!

Sheesh!

Thanks for any info you can give, or direct me to...remembering that I am challenged by technical terminology.

Fledgling
