Over the course of the year I have used a few different brands mainly flaxseed oil and fish oil. One was a mixture with borage oil in it. Now I use organic flaxseed oil in liquid form and use 1 tablespoon with my salads. I alternate with EV olive oil. No pills or seeds so to me it's not a supplement.
Flaxseed has more omega 3's. Look for a good blend of 36 and 9's.
Some people feel that flaxseed oil in liquid form can go rancid and suggest seeds instead. MH has mentioned in his posts that fish oil might contain mercury in it even though the bottles say it doesn't.
I have not seen the report you mentioned and I do not know which brand your ND recommended. I have not heard anywhere that borage oil has the most omega 3. See the numbers on the bottle and that should tell you something.
