Re: Help! I don't know what this is.

Hi Aunty,

Thanks for your response. I was first using Zim's Crack Cream, because that has helped me in the past. This time, it's not helped at all. Then I tried Aquaphor "Healing Ointment". The active ingredient is petrolatum. It's not helping either. The pharmacist recommended something, called Amalac (I think) it's a lac-hydrin lotion. This isn't helping either.

There is a couple health food stores that carry Burt's Bee's products nearby. I'll run to one at lunch time. I'll pick up the products you mention. I haven't tried their carrot lotion yet. I have tried the buttermilk in the past, but my skin condition wasn't so bothersome then. I'll also try the herbal defense ointment. Maybe they have all three in one of their little sample packs that they sell.

I'm not experiencing any pain, just irritation. The skin seems to thicken, and them bubble up. I do have some itching. My hands look awful right now. I'm embarassed for people to see them. The skin is thickened, and scaling. Hardly any redness though. Do you think I should take supplements in addition to getting them from my food? I have flax seed oil, ester C, and vitamin E at home. I'm bad about taking supplements. I always forget.

Thanks for your help and advice. I'd like to keep in touch with you if that's ok.

You can email me.

Thanks,
Teresa
