The Olive was too thick for me at first, too.  And I went with sunflower as well.  :)  When I began, I made it about 4 minutes, then had to get rid of it.  I checked with the forum & got the recommendation to do my 4 and get rid of it, then do another 4, get rid of it...  Do that 5 times (so you get 20 minutes).  It's like training your body that you want to do a full 20 minutes, just 4 minutes at a time.  You don't have to rinse your mouth out between, just put another round in your mouth and swish.

A healing crisis is when your body releases toxins into your blood stream to get rid of it.  You have, basically, an allergic reaction to the toxins.  You might get symptoms ranging from a mild sore throat, queasy tummy, mild headache, to what feels like the flu.  If you go through it, my suggestion is to do more oil pulling so you can help your body get rid of the toxins faster.
