I made one today and hooked it up to my laptop. I was not impressed.
I was measuring a negative 5 volts and the frequency was about 1.5 Khz. The Clark Zapper measures around a positive 4.5 volts and around 30 Khz for the frequency. The software that I download and installed was really nothing more then a timer. I spent about $3.00 at radio Shack for the parts and hour or so making the thing. I call it a "thing" because I don't think it will have any effect for eliminating parasites as the Zapper will. I don't know if this is supposed to be a joke or what, but I don't' think I will pursue this project much longer. If anyone else makes one and you get different results please post them here.
