Re: Inflammation thanks to liver herbs -- when to add liver cleansing to the mix...cleanse v. flush
PJ,
I think of it like a vacuum cleaner. Last year ours stopped working. I took it in and there was a baby sock blocking the tube. When I got that out, I also cleaned the various filters. (Which were filthy and made me really want to start cleaning my own internal ones.)
First, flush -- getting all the big stuff out. Stones, chaff, other nastiness that are clogging big tubes (ducts).
Then, cleanse -- when all the avenues to elimination are clear, you can then safely (and comfortably) begin to clean the filters themselves -- liver.
If you try to do these in the wrong order, it seems, from other peoples' experience and the suggestions of more experienced flushers, then the toxins built up in the liver have no where to go if the liver is congested with stones....so you will get the nastiness floating around your body, breakouts, etc. instead of being evicted through the ducts and eliminated via the GI system.
So do flush the big junk out before you macro-clean the liver with herbs.
