Sometimes things get worse before they get better, but I wondered are you taking vitamin suppliments and drinking lots of water? Vitamin C in large doses 5 grammes daily or more (watch out for the dioreah at first though... maybe check the vitamin C forum if you need more info.) From memory Zinc and vitamins A and D (found in cod liver oil) are good for skin problems. You could try using witch hazel topicly as a cleanser too.
