reocurring dream about dead mother

My mom died 20 years ago. Once every few months or so I dream that I see her at the store or somewhere like that and she never died. She says shes been alive the whole time. I am crushed and can't beleive she didn't tell me she was alive. Sometimes my family members even knew she was alive.
Any thoughts?
