Pork Tapeworms are very tough parasites. The eggs and larvae can live in the body for YEARS and YEARS before they jump into action. Tapeworms attach themselves to the intestinal walls with their teeth. Their bodies absorb their "food". Their bodies are also sections of reproductive organs. All Tapeworms do is eat and produce eggs.
When removing tapeworms, it is most important to remove the HEAD. Even if the rest of the body is removed, a Tapeworm can regenerate itself even if just the head is left in the body.
This is why psyllium and/or clay colon cleansers are sometimes sucessfully used along with an herbal parasite cleanse to remove stubborn tapeworms. The body of the Tapeworm gets trapped in the bulk of the psyllium and literally pulls the head out too.
