I didn't know being called religious was an offensive word, I guess I must have missed something in the dictionarys definition of the word.

James 1:27 (New American Standard Bible)
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.


I know you can not get to heaven on works alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 state that clearly enough.

I think when you become baptised in the Holy Spirit, you will want to do good works and abide by the ten comandments, and the commandment Jesus gave us should not be forgotten!
It is right and what is expected of us as Christians to help others in need without boasting or expecting rewards.
Doing what is expected of us can not be put on a resume to get into heaven.

There are many displeasing names used by some people to describe all Christians such as the word fundamentalist, but the ones that ones that are the most disturbing are the ones that call us infidels, we can not ignore violence and hatred when it effects Christians, and pretend it is going to go away.
