Stools different colors within same bowel movement

Several years ago before I learned about liver/gallbladder cleansing I would notice that part of my stools were darker than others. This would happen on and off for the next several years. I never thought too much about it.

This morning it was particularly interesting. Most of the stool was dark, but part of it was red like clay or brick. I suspect that could be an issue of bile production/blockage? The part of the stool that is normal and dark brown comes from sufficient bile production, whereas the light tan or clay colors happen when bile is blocked. Is this probably what is going on?
