Desperadonyc5 uses sunflower oil. I have used sunflower seed oil sometimes, sometimes walnut oil, sesame oil, coconut oil - just whatever I feel like using at the time. I have used EVOO, but I didn't like the texture during the entire OP; it never changed. Try it. It's a very simple thing to do, but for me it has had some significant payoffs.
Important to use cold-pressed, virgin oils that are in glass containers rather than plastic.
