--answer-- A discussion on Brix Readings: Reliable or not Reliable?

Hi OceanCalm,

You may answer some of these questions you are asking by reviewing the askmoreless.com site !

Also there are Different kinds of Refractometers to measure Different things, just take some time to do some Real reasearch about the subject, you may be surprised at what you may learn ?

For testing the Quality of foods, the refractometer which measures o-32 brix and is auto temp compensating may work very well and provide very Correct info, "IF" you learn how to read it !

As in every testing tool, it is of no Better value than the one who is reading the readings, do they understand how to Correctly read the test or not !

Instructions about this may be found in the askmoreless.com site also, for those willing to do a little research and spend a little bit of their time finding the Correct answers !

But, as usual, there may be more people who just want to Complain about how it can not be true, rather than doing their Homework and finding out the Facts, before posting False info !

There always seem to be more than enough people who are always willing to post ideas about something they Heard or saw printed some where about someone else saying so and so or such and such about something as being true, when they themself may have absolutly "NO" idea about the subject !

As to your ideas about the hybrid vegetables etc of today and comparing them to old varieties and claiming them to have higher Brix readings than old varieties because of False sugar increases of the modified kind from GMO or such , this whole idea may be very incorrect !

These different crops were some of what I dealt with in solving problems and I can verify that the open pollinated crops, when grown properly, may produce higher Brix readings than the hybrid crops !

And the reason for this may be in the Fact that the hybrid crops may not be able to take in certain Alkaline Trace Minerals, because of their Breeding to force higher production, thus loosing the ability to take in some of the critical Alkaline trace Minerals which are needed for Top Quality , which includes True Complete Complexed sugars !!

There is a Great Difference in betting about something which you have "NO" understanding about and someone betting against you who has understanding about the subject !

It may be Better for you to not engage in such "SILLY" comments in your posts !

Smile Tis your choice.
