An unsolved riddle.....

Four years ago my health took a turn for the worse over the span of
a month. No doubt, I was not very aware of how badly I was treating my body
and this led to pain from stress in the groin which was thought to be prostatitis.

I was given Bactrim which is Sulfamethanaxazole for a month and that was when the
trouble really ramped up. For some mysterious reason I went into drug induced Hepatitis
which turned the whites of my eyes yellow and left me with extreme fatigue and anxiety.
As well, I suffered IBS and poor digestion. The IBS is now mostly gone although I still
have occasional colon pain.

I have spent the last few years babying my liver and all readings come out normal....but I know that is not the whole story since my GSDL tests tell me that the
first phase of my liver is still hyperfunctioning. Since I consume nothing that would
stress it out.....I can only conclude that this is from body acidity...my saliva has been brought up to 7 but urine is still around 6 and susceptable to easy drops if I
consume anything bad.

My question is this......does anyone have any idea how this drug could have acted upon
my liver so strongly and what exactly could it have done to cause my liver enzymes to
rise ten times their normal in such a short time. There surely was not enough acidic
content in the capsules to cause this........
