Along with consuming fatty acids (which Cod Liver Oil is a great source this time of year because it has the benefit of being high in vitamin D), you may want to get tested for food allergies . food allergies , lactose intolerance, and celiac disease can be a major reason for digestive stress and adrenal fatigue. When your consume things you are allergic to, or in the case of lactose and Celiac disease things your body can't break down, the villi in the intestines become inflammed, irritated, and prevent nutrients from being absorbed, starving the body (especially the adrenals) of the things it needs. If you have such food allergies , getting tested is the key to recovery. You may be able to find an MD or DO who practices alternative therapies and is aware of using IgG allergy testing. IgG differs from the regular allergy testing because it examines delayed allergic responses rather than instantaneous responses to allergens. Most M.D.s are unaware of the IgG's ability to identify allergens responsible for chronic illnesses; in fact, many a case of ADHD has been solved by simply avoiding allergens in one's diet.
Vitamin C is another necessary component to adrenal recovery. I would consume at least 4,000 g of vitamin C daily- as the adrenals utilize vitamin c in times of stress. Good Luck!
