I find it quite interesting that you choose to ignore basic 'coincidences' regarding the use of vaccines and the increased levels of autism. I read your statements, and while I agree that authors of certain books twist data to achieve the wanted perception, I for one do not fall into that category.

I personally know parents with autistic children. It is a disorder that ravages families and the children who suffer from it. One of the leading suspected causes of autism was the presence of Thymerisal preservative in vaccines that exposed children to mercury, which, of course, attacks the brains of everyone, especially children under the age of 2.

I have studied the risks of vaccines as related to my studies of alterntive medicine, studies which I have done since 1992. I have read many of the books you refer to in your statement. You are right to assume, as I've previously said, that authors do twist statistics to serve their favor. In my opinion, this only serves to hurt those of us who wish to see true investigations into the risks, known risks and down right cover-ups by the medical community and our own CDC concerning vaccine related autism.

It's hard to ignore the parent who seen abrubt behavioral changes in their children after receiving the DPT shot. It's even tougher to hear of the horrors of learning that their child has been diagnosed at the age of 6 with full blown autism. She agonized as she told me how her doctor ignored her when she suggested in an emergency call that she should seek medical help for her child's 104º fever and was told 'it is normal'. After she succumbed to sleep, she awoke to a child with a fever of 106º and totally unresponsive, eyes staring blankly up at her. This all occurred within 12 hours of her son receiving his 3rd round of immunizations. No evidence, huh? What if this happened to YOUR child? Thank God it's NOT going to happen to mine!

Thymerisal has been reportedly removed from all shots except the flu and Hepatitis B vaccines. The doctors in the neo-natal couldn't wait to jam that needle in my daughter's arm, 3 DAYS AFTER BIRTH! I politely refused and they didn't even argue! It would seem that many parents are refusing the vaccines that come with extreme risks.
My child will receive limited immunizations when she becomes older (4-5 years old, maybe) and she will only receive those immunizations I'm comfortable with her receiving. As for the DPT and MMR, FORGET IT! They'll never enter her body.

My beautiful daughter is now 9 months old. After 20 years of marriage and a miracle, she's here and it's my obligation to protect her. She is not wrestling with the usual childhood bouts of ear infections, as did all of her cousins before the age of 6 months!. I said before she was even born she would never have ear infections because they were related to the DPT shot. Members of my on family laughed then. They're not laughing anymore and our pediatrician seems astounded she has remained so healthy, except for the recent cold she just recovered from. The risks of vaccines outweigh the benefits at this time.

You see, there are legitimate concerns and substantial evidence that vaccines are, indeed, harmful. It is my wish that the alarmists and misrepresenters of this issue go away so that those of us who are more educated and discerning would have the opportunity to help further the cause of removing unsafe vaccines from the market.

Question: If vaccines are so safe , why did the CDC choose to have a discussion about this in the summer of 2005 in a remote resort outside of Atlanta and not allow any of the attendees to remove ANY documents relating to the subject of the autism/vaccine link? This is a bonafide cover-up to protect vaccine manufacturers and the doctors who administer them from enormous lawsuits. This was reported in detail by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

In closing, I'd like to impress upon you to remove your professional cloak for one moment and review for yourself this possibility or are you afraid of what you might find? What happened to the Hippocratic oath?
