I am all for alternative medicine but in this case I would go with the regular plain old conventional medicine. I would definitely not fool around with Wormwood , Black-Walnut , etc. when it is an ACTIVE infection which might kill the animal. Especially, REMEMBER that alternative medicine often takes weeks to work. Your dog may not necessarily have weeks left, if it is already ridden with heartworm.
