FOUR ISRAELIS DIE AFTER FLU SHOTS--Be aware!!!

"The Health Ministry has temporarily halted vaccination of the Israeli population against influenza after the deaths of four people - all heart patients from cardiac causes between one and five days after they received their shots." (JPost, 10/23/06) Doing so, as a safety measure, it is still unknown whether or not the vaccinations were the cause of death, as 140,000 Israelis who were considered "high risk" for complications from the flu were already vaccinated. Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has sent epidemiologists and other public health experts to investigate the deaths. One common link among the deaths was the fact that three of the individuals were from the same city and received the vaccination at the same clinic. Additionally, all three were known to have chronic illnesses.
