Re: Results of Big Yogurt Project: What kills the good guys

That's great experimental work with the yogurt.

One should also be aware that when some of these are taken internally, only a few may reach the colon, where most flora exists.
If the digestion is strong with good absorption and little mucus buildup, things like digestive enzymes will be used up to digest the food and will not reach the flora, therefore may not destroy it. Also things like raw garlic, if digestion is strong then most nutrients will get absorbed in the small intestine, and unless actives are wasted, it may not impact the flora.
However if some of these work for candida (which may be residing in the colon as well) then it may aggravate the good bateria as well.

It would be nice to know how these behave during digestion process.
