Re: Results of Big Yogurt Project: What kills good intestinal bacteria?

That's fascinating research. I had been taking olive leaf extract and had heard you should do it for awhile and then take probiotics for a couple of weeks before starting back on the olive leaf extract because it kills off all of the bacteria... good bacteria too.

Someone mentioned coconut oil... I think it contains caprylic acid among some other things, right? I would think it probably does kill off all bacteria too then.
How do you take the coconut oil? I bought some and tried one spoonful and it made me queasy for a few hours afterwards.

Grapefruit seed extract I also tried but I had such a strong reaction to it and I wondered how it would affect the strength of my medications like the Allegra. Eating grapefruit and allegra can be dangerous. I think it kills everything though, even that awful drug resistant staph. I heard they even wash hospital laundry in it to kill the germs.
