I need advice about dentist x-rays! should i be concerened?

recently i did a colonic with a new lady running the machine
and she scared the crap out of me (no pun intended)
somehow we got to talkign about x-rays and she was tellign em how they cause cancer and this and that
now, i get my mouth x-rayed every 6 months at my dentist office to cavity check
should i look into a mopre natural dentist? dont they still do x-rays|? amd i worried about nothing?
be gentel. im just learning these things.
