The Encourager...Oct. Issue

I put out a monthly newsletter...and used to post bits and pieces
on curezone from it all the time. I was just reading this morning and
decided to post a few exerpts from this months issue.
Hope you enjoy it!

SLOW ME DOWN, LORD
Ease the pounding of my heart by the quieting of my mind.
Steady my hurried pace with a vision of the eternal reach of time.
Give me, amid the confusion of the day, the calmness of the
everlasting hills. Break the tensions of my nerves and muscles
with the soothing music of the singing streams that live in my memory.
Help me to know the magical, restoring power of sleep.
Teach me the art of taking minute vacations…of slowing down to
look at a flower, to chat with a friend, to pat a dog, to read
a few lines from a good book.
Slow me down, Lord, and inspire me to send my roots deep into
the soil of life’s enduring values that I may grow toward the
stars of my greater destiny.(Author Unknown)

“I’m convinced that the man who has learned to meditate upon
the Lord will be able to run on his feet and walk in his spirit.
Although he may be hurried by his vocation, that’s not the issue.
The issue is how fast his spirit is going. To slow it down takes
a period of time.” (Quote By Charles Stanley)

It’s easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song.
But the man worth while is the one
who can breeze through the day with a smile on his face
when everything goes dead wrong.
For the test of the heart is trouble,
And it always comes with years.
And the smile that’s worth the praises of earth
Is the smile that shines through the tears. (author unknown)
