I coulda sworn that Cal-earth site had a weekend course to build those survival shelters but when I looked yesterday it was gone.   I was hoping to drive up there for it, not too far from where I am at.

I will probably buy a video and book, since the next cheapest course is around $900.  Recommendations?

I am in AZ, my sis said we are very sandy (as far as not much clay in the soil for the adobe) but I am just on the outskirts of the Saguaro National Forest, tons of saguaro and different cacti and trees and a big wash full of goodies on my acre.  I did not clear anything from my land and the saint that sold me the property moved everything over that was where the house pad would go and transplanted many of the cactus so they would not be killed.  Soil is pretty rocky, but I think there might be more clay in it than my sister thinks.  How do you go about testing that, just mixing up a batch and seeing how it holds up?
