Re: Pet Rabbit?

Thanks for the info. I can section off my kitchen and let it roam there most of the day, but our kitchen is not very big. I am searching the web for rabbit info. One web site claimed that you can litter train them, but I don't know how difficult thata would be with an already-adult rabbit.

I think I will go to the shelter without my kids and have a talk with the people there and give it at least a week's thought/research before mentioning it to the kids in case I want to change my mind. It is a big decision, since I read they can live 5-15 years.

I do think that the stroller thing would appeal to my daughter. Maybe if I tentatively decide yes, then I can take the kids to the shelter as like a 'zoo visit" but tell them we are just there to see the animals and not get one. Then I can see how she trys to handle he bunnies. I am not really worried about my 5-year old, as he is very gentle and sensitive.

Neither of my children have any allergies; we used to have dogs and cats and have stayed with my sister at her farm with chickens, goats, sheep, etc.

Thanks,
Tina.
