Re: Acidity not specific cause to lip problem....

Hi Eedbeedee

I have read your mesages and I believe i have the same condition as you. My lips look like the pictures of radika and dm0923. I also have digestive symptoms similar to those of irritable bowel syndrome, and everything gets worse when i eat wheat and sugar.

I remember in the past i always had bad eating habits. I use to eat right before going to bed, like you said. I did that in a daily basis for years.

I also believe we have a bacterial infection (systemic in some cases), probably staph aureus from what ive read. However i do think we should try to kill it with the right antibiotic. Antibiotics work. You say that this could put high strain on the liver but im a little skeptical about it:

- Would that strain be significant to overload the liver? I dont think so considering we already eat a lot of crap that the liver has to filter.

- My liver is fine. I had a hepatic function test done by my gastroenterologist and it came out my liver is producing enough bile. I think liver dysfunction would very easy to detect by blood or stool tests.

- Even if the liver gets overloaded, that would only be temporary. We could overcome it by taking the antibiotic for a longer period of time. That would avoid bacteria from growing back while our body is cleaning.

The point is, the liver is not the problem, bacteria is. Our effort should be to discover which bacteria we have and choose the best antibiotic for it (we might need a systemic and topical aproach at the same time)

Let me know what you think about it. Which antibiotics have you tried? I havent tried anyone. I have only tried fluconazole because i thought it was a candida infection. I remember my dermatologist saying that if it was candida it wouldn't have lasted for years. I think he was right.
