It's not sombering what you said but the truth! It drives me crazy to hear my sister(divorced with kid) tell me that she needs to buy my 13 year old nephew a computer and he is threatening her if she doesn't. He has a Cell Phone and every other gadget imaginable, plus his father, who makes a seven digit income, gives the kid everything when he goes over there to stay! I got a Pong game when I was 13 and was ecstatic to get it! (LOL).

When I just finished 8th grade and had the summer off before starting my freshman year in high school, my dad said.."So!... where are you going to be working this summer?". And I got a job as a dishwasher the day after that. I could go on with this but I'm sure you get the point. It just drives me crazy to see kids inside houses and not enjoying the outdoors like I did. They should be running around getting exercise, riding bikes, and screaming! LOL...

Quiet time at lunch? What the heck? I'm not understanding that. We had kickball tournaments going all the time at recess. If it rained or too cold and not allowed outdoors, we move all the desks at recess and play or do something!...

Okay, sorry to rant.
