Re: Wild Paranoia Parties

I say this with a great big grin on my face and hope you laugh when you read it.

If having a worm try to screw it's way out of your head isn't a good enough reason to have a paranoid party, I don't know what is! Fact is, the darn things started moving around in my body when I attempted to exterminate them. And I'm scared the big one in my head might die off and give me a brain infection. Excuse me for thinking this might be a legitimate fear.

Of course, there are a whole lot of people who would much rather believe the anti-parasitical herbs are making them hallucinate, and quit taking them, than go through the discomfort and horrifying feelings that occur when you start disturbing the mother load. It's beyond creepy.

But if you've got worms, and you choose to ignore them, because it creeps you out when they get uncomfortable and start moving around, deep down under the denial, the truth remains: You've got worms.

My brother says he likes his worms. He wants his worms. He believes they are helping him digest his food, or some such crap. Hey! I told him that if the creatures living inside you are beneficial and benevolent, and the relationship is synergistic, not parasitic, then by all means, do not exterminate your worms.

But if they are making you miserable, what are you going to do? Wave a white flag and lay down and die a slow miserable death? Not me.

And yes, I've also been to therapy because I was sexually abused as a child. But that is not what put worms in my head.

I know a few people who are really into the paranoid Conspiracy theories. They love to sit around and commiserate about how the trilateral commission is plotting to enslave everyone, and the skull and cross bones is a society of devil worshippers, who torture and kill babies, and all manner of stuff that is beyond depressing, because even if it was true, you couldn't do anything about it anyway.

Frankly, I think they are heavily infested with worms, and it is making them paranoid. If they would reduce their parasite loads, they would look on the bright side of things, and feel better about life.

Of course, they all believe that having worms is perfectly normal, and I'm crazy for trying to kill them. They'd rather be all gloom and doom about the future of the entire world. I'd rather be fighting worms, than worried about the trilateral commission, because there is something I can do about the worms.
