Have you checked into flaxseed oil and cottage cheese (the Budwig diet pepika7pipi mentioned) ? Many dogs absolutely love the taste and there are some very interesting studies done on it's cancer fighting abilities. The ingredients won't hurt or harm your companion and may help in many ways.
