If you're not powerless over alcohol, you should be just fine drinking all you want, because your power over alcohol will keep you safe. Enjoy!
I'm powerless over alcohol, but I know a lot of people who aren't. They are not alcoholics. They have had no trouble with drinking, and the thought of explaining what's wrong with AA has never entered their minds.
