While reading info about HCl, I read that it does, but can't find that info now. I may have read it wrong, but I've read another poster who appears to have a similar understanding. If I find the link again, I will post it for you. I would imagine, however, that the HCl would primarily affect histamine receptors in the stomach. It may not excite all histamine receptors all over the body. This is all conjecture on my part, but it seems to me that otherwise asthmatics and highly allergic people would be having fits at every meal.
In fact, the possibility that it should only affect the stomach receptors is one reason I have some doubts about my own nasal reactions while eating being related to the HCl/histamine directly.
