Right on, Grzbear!

We do as we see, until we think better of it.

The only hook in 'thinking better of it' is that, once we decide differently, we have no conscious knowlege of what we 'should' do.

Here's a story I wish I had copied and could credit. It goes something like this...

A man was visiting in the high north. He was taken far out in a canoe on icy waters.

His host offered to let him paddle back, which the visitor refused, saying that he had no idea of the way.

The owner of the canoe was amazed. Everyone born and raised in their community could always instinctively find their way home. They had never thought that others couldn't.

(If anyone knows the author and/or source of this story, please tell me.)

By evolution, we (everyone alive today) are the finest of our species ever to walk the earth. Thousands of years of improving instinct are buried in our every cell.

Maybe we know more than we think we do.

Maybe our 'sixth sense' is simply that knowlege and skill rising to the surface of our attention when we need it.

There is a very interesting post at //www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=590790#i

And, I suggest any and all books by Bradford Angier. "Feasting on Wild Edibles" is the first book of his I read. I was hooked!

(Any of the "The Complete Walker" updates by Colin Fletcher is fascinating, too.)

Enjoy!

[Oh yes...Even the "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing", from Alive! Books has a section on harvesting of wild edibles so that the supply sustains itself.

And, a woman who lives near the Coastal Rainforest in Washington state, I believe, plants squash near the trees, as food for those who live in the forest.]
