Re: Updates and Observations
Unfortunately, I can't get an exact breakdown of the
Iodine content in the Iosol, but by my calculations, and info from one company I called, it contains about 1.8 mg per drop, less than a third the content in Lugols. Unfortunately, it is more difficult for me to get Lugols, so Iosol it is. Also, it uses ammonium
Iodide instead of potassium iodide. I'd imagine there is a difference in the breakdown, but doubt it is profound. The product has been around for about 60 years. I'm currently on a schedule of 4 drops for 2 weeks then drop down to 2 a day, but I'm considering going up a bit to equal the 12.5mg level I keep reading about. Of course, I'm doing all of this without the help of a physician as I have not been able to find one I trust for natural health. But with my skin, eyes, and thyroid improving, I have no choice but to forge ahead. I will, however, make the transition gradually so as not to overwhelm my little thyroid.
And yes, my dry skin cleared up before adding the oil. To be honest, I keep missing doses of the oil because I take them with high protein dinners, and some of my dinners are either low in protein, or I'm not home when I eat them, so I miss the dose entirely. Despite that, my skin continues to improve.
