regarding your post above...yeah, there's SO much more $ to be made in breaking up & reassembling the original product than there is in just leaving it be...

However, if things were left in their "whole" state, widely available cheap carbs would NOT be available...

American Indians in these parts named their tribes by what they ate...the "squirrel eaters", the "pine-nut eaters" , the "trout eaters", etc...
