Re: Bad Body Odor: Advice from the corner

ALright. I touched upon something earlier that I want to expand on, especially after having re-read the posts.
Internal and hygenic problems, the perceptions of.
I have had a colon cleansing done, twice. And while I still have the problem, of course, I must say I wouldn't hurt to have one done. Any flushing out of built-up bacteria is good thing. It definitely isn't the holy grail, though.
For you ladies, obviously there is concern because of the fishlike odor. That the problem may be coming from "down there". Well the association is natural but...
One woman with trimeth had all kinds of surgery related done to fer (removal of sweat glands)which culminated with her having a HYSTERECTOMY. So desparate was she in trying to solve this problem. Who can blame her? Yet, after this drastic procedure was done she STILL had the odor. Luckily enough, she was able to come across information regarding trimethylaminuria. She got tested and was found to be positive.
The odor comes through the pores and sweat, as much as anywhere else.
I hope this is of benefit to any of you females reading this, as maybe it can save you from going through the above experience, if you've likely thought about it.
Overall, it is technically an internal problem, but not a gastrointernal one. No colonoscopy or endoscopy is gonna reveal the true problem. It's deeper than that. The genetic defiency renders the liver (etc.) to be unable to metabolize choline, etc. properly. We lack the The improper/insufficient enzyme breakdown results in the odor being produced.
As far as hygiene is concerned, even though it is an internal one well, an extra shower or two does help. If you something where you sweat a lot, after a while the smell may come out of those problem areas especially.
Say you work out hard(more on this later-it's a good thing) right after work. A shower before you go anywhere (the store, to your girlfriend's/boyfriend's) where people are going to be would be very ideal.
I would even argue that if you plan to go anywhere after an eight-hour day, go home first thing and take another quicklike shower.(Well, it doesn't have to be your home; it can be anyplace hat will give access to a shower. But you know what I mean.)
Strategic use of showers is the key.
With these extra showers we have to take it isn't so much quantity as it is strategy. Some days require more, some less. It's what the situation calls for. Don't get in a routine where you take one, say, every six hours, regardless of what you've done in that time.
If you took a shower at 8:oo AM went to class at 9:00, worked out at 11:00 before your 12:00 o'clock class....Don't wait until 2:oo PM to take your second shower! Take one before you go to that noontime class. Believe me.
Strategic-use of these showers is the key.
And people have the nerve to say "we need to take a shower." If they only knew, brutha. If they only knew...

The bell has sounded for now.
