metal interferes with the electric circuits in the body. mercury is a dangerous neurotoxin and effects the entire system, always adversely.

i think the risk of surgery is probably greater than the rod, but you should start an account now for removal of the mercury. they will definitely make your end sooner and more painful, lord will you dont go some other way.
