Okay, working with your list and the other contributions posted (thus far) I have created my list (Trapper I'll be interested to see your final list!):

SqueakyClean's Composite "Top 20" Health Lies

1) We can find a drug to cure cancer, diabetes, and other lifestyle-created "diseases"
2) Mercury in the body does no harm (fillings, vaccinations)
3) vaccinations work, and are mandatory
4) You don't need that organ...(i.e. uterus, ovary, appendix, etc.)
5) Microwaving your food is perfectly safe and healthy
6) Milk does a body good
7) The four/five major food groups(nutrition pyramid)
8) Females need regular mammograms (once a year when you hit a certain age)
9) The sun is harmful
10) You should eat to keep up your strength when sick

11) Fever must always be reduced
12) Fat makes you fat
13) Too much fruit will rot your teeth
14) Operations fix gall stones and tonsils/adenoids
15) Three hot meals per day / You need a BIG "complete" breakfast to start the day right
16) Distilled water is bad and leaches needed minerals
17) Saturated fat and cholesterol are the culprits in heart disease
18) Artificial sweeteners are better for you than natural sugars
19) Legislation for newborns/Government control on having and raising children
20) The "germ theory" of medicine + pasteurization
