This may sound simple enough, but something I've been trying lately that's actually been working at draining the negativity out is deep breathing before I go to bed. Just lie in your bed right before you nod off, and do some deep breathing excercises. I never thought this would work, but one night I was having a bizarre panic attack, and the only way I could calm myself down was with this deep breathing, very deep, as deep as you can draw your breath. Just keep concentrating on your breath going in and out. Eventually everything else in your mind disappears and all you think about is your breath. It lulled me right to sleep, the next morning I woke up better than I'd ever felt, EVER. I felt renewed, optomistic. I, too, have been suffering from skin issues which lead to terrible panic/self esteem issues, what I like to call "demons in the closet" syndrome, but you should congratulate yourself because you've admitted that the worst is over now. But this really helps me whenever I'm feeling too low, I remember to do it, and I always wake up peaceful and rested and actually LOOK FORWARD to the day to come (something I've never felt before)...
