Re: Protein during a veggie/fruit cleanse?

Ok, first of all, for someone who has been eating an un healthy Diet it will be very hard to all the sudden try and eat nothing but fruits and veggies, especially for a grown or still growing man.

You do not need to eat only fruits and veggies. You can eat any kind of nut or seed that you like. This will provide all the protein you need and keep you satisfied. Whenever you feel hungry simply eat a handful of say, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds(be prepared to chew), hemp seeds, or any other kind of nut or seed until your full.

Eat as much as you need to feel satisfied. It is far, far, far, better to binge on nuts and seeds than to binge on junk food. So don't be afraid to eat all you need of any fruit, veggies, nut or seed.

I probably wouldn't survive for a long time on what your eating either, I would be starving, and I'm small!

So, make sure you always have your nuts and seeds with you. Bananas are also very filling, eat as much as you like. Anything you need to feel satisfied. Except junk food.

If you want lasting results don't starve yourself. Take it ssssllloooowwww.

Now that we understand this you should have no worries.

All the stuff about needing protein from meat and yadda yadda is hogwash. Don't believe. It's just a way to sell you something.

Besides, when you cook the meat most of the protein you eat is destroyed and it also becomes very hard for you to digest. It takes a lot of effort and time for the body to digest a piece of meat. Anywhere from 6-12 hours!

When you get your protein from raw nuts and seeds the protein is readily available and easy to digest. The body can easily extract what it needs and eliminate the rest.

Are you getting the picture?

There are also whole food supplements that you can take such as spirulina. With just a few tbsps. of this you have supplied your body the daily recommended amount of protein.

So you see, it's very easy to get protein on a vegan mosltly raw diet.

Don't believe what all the people at work, or on t.v., or the doctors says, they've been brainwashed. Make your own judgements of what you need.

Good luck!

Mary
