Re: Not a Neti pot, but...

You are absolutely right, this does have to be attacked 24/7. The eucalyptus is all I'm doing for the sinus, but I am also doing these things for the rest of me:
on the diet
doing P&B shakes
using nystatin
taking hot baths with epsom salt, eucalyptus & peppermint
taking so many nutritional supplements my counter has disappeared underneath them
treating toe nails with Vicks
using coconut oil instead of butter or other oils
using xylitol instead of other sweeteners
using antifungal enemas
swishing mouth with lysterine+GSE+h202

The steam treatment is easy: I just fill a bowl with boiling water, add a drop or two of eucalyptus, sit with my face directly over the bowl and put a towel over all of this to create a steam "tent." If I had a sauna, I'd just put eucalyptus in that, but I don't so this is the best I could do. I do sit there for a good 20 min, inhaling deeply both through nose and mouth.

For good measure, I also bought a cold product plug-in kind of thing that has eucalyptus oil. Instead of buying the expensive refills, I use a couple drops of my own oil. Must admit- usually I forget to plug it in! Unfortunately, the directions stated that it should only be plugged in 8 hours, so I'm afraid of a fire if I just leave it. I'll have to figure out a way to make that part of a routine.

Wow.. listing all this stuff, it's amazing how this has become part of my whole life!
I guess being sick affected my whole life, so why shouldn't getting well... hmmm..

So, your DO is helping you with candida.. just targeting the sinus, or your whole body? It's interesting that the DO said the sinus has to be cleared first... I suppose otherwise the drainage reinfects the gut. That's interesting. Also hopeful... perhaps if I totally lick it in the sinus, maybe another good turn of health? *hopeful look* :)

I don't have a bridge, so also don't really understand what keeping one clean would entail. Do you think oil pulling may help? I'm just learning about that, and wondering whether the mechanical action of swishing the oil might clear away a lot.
